Gillian Fish, Founder

Gillian Fish is the Founder and CEO of The 6AM Agency, a creative PR communications agency based in Australia, New Zealand and Asia, with a deep heritage in earned (PR) and owned and a specialisation in Health, Wellbeing, Sustainability and Purpose.

A former magazine ediitor and story-teller, Gillian is the author of Good + Well: 25 World Experts Share their Secrets to Wellbeing (Feb, 2017) as well as Resilience. Body. Mind. Soul (2020) and four industry White Papers. She is a sought after contributor to global journals on marketing in the wellbeing industry.

Gillian is a regular speaker on local Australian and international speaking circuits including Consumer Healthcare Products Australia, Naturally Good, Vitafoods amongst other distinguished platforms.

Gillian is acknowledged as one of Australia’s foremost leaders in integrated Health, Wellbeing, Sustainability and Purpose communications having worked with some of the world’s leading brands in evidence-based wellbeing including Diagnostics, Direct Selling brands, Cosmeceuticals, Nutraceuticals. Organic, Sustainable, Nutraceuticals, Natural, Complementary Therapies, Raw Material Suppliers, OTC, Fitness, Nutrition, Beauty, Medical and Retail – B2B and B2C, across Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Asia and the United States.

Gillian is a founding member and Marketing Co-Chair for the global not-for-profit, Women In Nutraceuticals focused on driving gender equity. She is a member of the marketing and ethics sub committed for Consumer Healthcare Products Australia. She contributes to a multitude of pro bono organisations including Wayside Chapel; Childhood Dementia Initiative, Bambuddha Group to build their profile and leadership.

Gillian has completed a course at the London School of Economics on Sustainability Communications. She us a strong supporter of ongoing learning and a growth mindset, instilled in the DNA of the agency, which is committed to diversity, inclusion and equality as part of uts Sustainabikity practice.

Chris Savage, Chairman

Chris Savage is one of Asia Pacific’s leading corporate reputation and crisis management experts. Chris brings a 35-year career leading the most specialised corporate affairs businesses in the region, including close to a decade as COO of the largest listed communications business in the region. His specialisation is in helping businesses, leaders and brands build stakeholder trust, relationships, perceptions, goodwill equity and credibility. He is also deeply expert in protecting reputation when ‘things go wrong’ – in issues preparedness and management, and in full blown crisis management scenarios.

Joe Purves, Digital Director

AMY Award Winner for “Digital Person of the Year”, Joe is a User Experience (UX) professional with 18 years of industry experience and a passion for creativity and design aesthetics. He has worked in the UK, USA, Asia, and Australia for clients such as Jurlique, Comvita, CommBank, Optus, Telstra, Virgin and JSHealth. Joe’s curious nature urges him to understand the technology, the business goals, and the user needs before he embarks on the design process.

Evolving from his previous role as an Executive Creative Director, beyond the more artistic and creative flair of his role, his responsibilities include helping brands transform their business digitally.

His design team is composed of a diverse range of unique digital specialists under his visionary leadership. They live by their motto of purposeful design – this means defining and refining the strategy, so the digital projects achieve business goals that add value to people’s lives.

Joe continues his mission in 2020; to have empathy for both stakeholders and customers and strives to make every digital experience websites, useful, visually-pleasing and highly immersive. His specialties are websites, web apps, mobile apps, landing pages and eCommerce.

As a founder of a multi-award winning agency, called DMG, he has now sold the agency and has joined 6AM as the Digital Director. Awarded the AMY’s “Digital Person of the Year” Winner, his passions are health, sustainability and design. Among the design community, he is known as an industry leader in inspiring creativity, passion and empathy.
